The monograph serves a comprehensive catalog of pottery found in the burials of the Yamna/ Budzhak culture of the Northwestern Pontic region, featuring both drawings and photographs. Researchers from different countries are interested in studying the archaeological collections housed in Ukrainian museums, however, current circumstances limit their access. This limitation extends to a large part of the pottery collection from the Northwestern Pontic region. This catalog contains a classification and typology of the pottery, which constitutes the predominant category of the grave goods in the Budzhak culture, accounting for more than 40% of the total number of finds. Graphical tables comprise whole forms of pottery and reconstructions of fragmented vessels, while the inclusion of photographs gives a better understanding of the form and ornamentation of the vessels. The proposed classification provides possibilities for comparative analysis of the ceramic assemblage. The catalog will be interesting and useful to scholars who study archaeological cultures of Europe during the IVth-IIIrd millennium BCE, particularly in relation to issues of contacts and interrelations, migrations and colonization during the Early Bronze Age, and questions concerning the import and imitation of artifacts.

Ця монографія є вичерпним каталогом кераміки, знайденої в похованнях Ямної/Буджацької культури у Північно-Західному Причорномор’ї, що містить як малюнки, так і фотографії. Дослідники з різних країн виявляють інтерес до вивчення археологічних колекцій, що зберігаються в українських музеях, однак нинішні обставини обмежують їхній доступ. Це обмеження поширюється на значну частину колекції кераміки з Північно-Західного Причорномор’я. Цей каталог містить класифікацію та типологію кераміки, яка становить переважну частину похоронного інвентарю Буджацької культури, складаючи понад 40 % від загальної кількості знахідок. Графічні таблиці містять зображення цілих керамічних виробів та реконструкції уламків посуду, а фотографії дають змогу краще зрозуміти форму та орнаментацію посуду. Запропонована класифікація надає можливості для порівняльного аналізу керамічного ансамблю. Каталог буде цікавим і корисним для науковців, які досліджують археологічні культури Європи IV–III тисячоліть до н. е., зокрема у контексті питань контактів та взаємозв’язків, міграцій та колонізації в період ранньої бронзової доби, а також питань, що стосуються імпорту та імітації артефактів.
